Senior Project Manager- Sustain/Retrofit
Location: Midlands- working Monday to Friday, typically 39 hours per week

This newly created role will support our retrofit/decarbonisation works across the Midlands region, offering a mixture of site and office working. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working from our Stoke or Birmingham office. As a Project Manager and a subject matter expert in retrofit and decarbonisation, you will have the knowledge to ensure successful mobilisation and focus on compliant delivery through to handover for our clients, enabling them to achieve their zero carbon targets across their portfolios.
By taking a ‘whole-life cycle’ approach, Novus offers several solutions of service inclusive of both building fabric and renewables solutions, including identification, application for and execution of funding agreements, along with supporting the Operations team to carry out all required works to the highest standards, verified through Trustmark’s quality and assurance systems.

Responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager:
1. Lead best practice solutions for Retrofit from mobilisation through to handover, supporting the Operational team to deliver projects on time, on budget, with a high standard of work.
2. Support business development, working with the Win Business department to identify further works opportunities and contribute to bid quality returns.
3. Support contract mobilisation activities and lead on the completion of the relevant stages of the mobilisation plan.
4. Provide regular updates to key stakeholders in line with business requirements.
5. Proactively support colleague training and upskilling across all roles within the management and delivery teams.
6. Lead and support the Senior Leadership team in client meetings during project feasibility assessments, potential funding avenues, and forming delivery programmes.
7. Ensure all business-required systems, processes, and procedures are fully embedded across regional retrofit/decarbonisation activities.
8. Proactively identify non-compliances working with operational teams to rectify and develop forward solutions for future works.
9. Maintain strong knowledge of emerging best practices in relevant fields and research their relevance to the business, making recommendations accordingly.
10. Maximise and ensure best practice is spread throughout the business for associated workstreams.
About You:
As an experienced Project Manager specialising in Retrofit and sustainability within the refurbishment sector, ideally, you will hold a Level 5 Retrofit qualification and a good understanding of PAS 2030 & 2035 requirements. With a site presence, you will require SMSTS or an associated NVQ qualification; if expired, we will support you to renew. It’s the knowledge and skills that accompany the qualification that are essential to us. Our preferred candidate will be experienced, knowledgeable, a self-starter focused on delivery, and able to communicate well with the team to ensure smooth operations. Confident IT skills, including MS Projects or similar, are required. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence to travel to sites.
