Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop middleware solutions using Java and Apache Camel.
* Build and maintain scalable, reliable message flows and integrations.
* Work with IBM MQ for system integrations.
* Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit and Cucumber.
* Collaborate with teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
* Provide technical support and expertise for integration platforms.
* Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to process improvements.
Skills & Experience Needed
* Strong Java development skills, including collections, concurrency, and NIO.
* Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
* Knowledge of design patterns and object-oriented principles.
* Expertise in Apache Camel and IBM MQ.
* Familiarity with FIX protocol and RESTful APIs.
* Experience with SQL databases and ORM frameworks.
* Proficiency in XML, XSLT, and Git version control.
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Linux environments.
* Background in investment banking and financial trading products.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with Apache Karaf, API gateways, and Chronicle Queues.
* Knowledge of Murex and Apex systems.
* Familiarity with JIRA and issue tracking tools.
Pays up to £80 000
