We're currently recruiting a Customer Service Coordinator for a Global Logistics Company based in Redditch.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively, be highly organised and remain focused under pressure. They must take control of tracking the movement of goods from A to B and keep customers informed. The post holder must be in full control at all times and be able to communicate at the highest level. Must have a can-do attitude and take pride in the job.
You will be responsible for:
1. Loading orders onto the system
2. Tracking shipments
3. Negotiating rates with carriers when necessary
4. Building positive relationships with carriers
5. Planning vehicles
6. Communicating with subcontractors
7. Keeping customers updated as to the progress of jobs
8. Closing out job files by obtaining POD and any other required information (Purchase orders etc) and scanning documents onto the system
9. Ensuring clear and accurate communication with the warehouse so they are aware of returns and outgoing loads and can plan work effectively
10. Ensuring jobs are completed on the system and checked prior to invoicing
11. Ensuring paperwork is filed accurately and in a timely manner
12. Liaising with Operations, Accounts and Warehouse
13. Effective escalation of issues relating to customers/system requirements
14. Maintenance of system data and its integrity
Key result areas:
1. Communication with customers and internal staff and managers

6. Closing out of Jobs
7. System housekeeping
The successful candidate will have the following key skills/personal competencies and qualifications:
1. Must be computer literate including MS Office, email, spreadsheets and databases
2. Good level of numeracy and literacy
3. 5 GCSEs or equivalent
4. Excellent organisation and administrative skills
5. Good communication skills
6. Knowledge of the Transport and Freight forwarding industry is an advantage
7. Administration/customer service
8. Good listener with the ability to resolve issues
9. Self-managing and good attention to detail
10. Second language is an advantage
11. Ability to multitask and prioritise
12. Highly organised with the ability to remain focussed under pressure
13. Flexibility and a team player
Working hours and other info: 40 hour per week - Monday to Friday, 09:30-18:00 (office based). 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
