Position: Engineering Supervisor / Lead Engineer / Engineering Team Leader / Service & Quality Manager
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
This position will be working within the Service & Quality department, where you’ll provide a proactive, effective, and efficient technical service and customer complaint root cause analysis function.
This role is suited for someone with an engineering background and experience in root cause analysis, providing engineering service support, handling complaints, and determining product failure while offering aftersales technical support. It’s a varied role incorporating customer interaction, root cause analysis, quality control, servicing, and quoting.
We are particularly interested in candidates with engineering management experience and a root cause analysis background, including Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Process Engineers looking to transition into a management position.

Role Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team of 4, including Service Administrator, Service Technician, Quality Controller, and Quality Technician.
2. Coordinate activities including primary investigations, corrective action, root cause analysis, reporting, and dispatch.
3. Manage customer complaint investigations through to root cause and prepare suitable technical reports.
4. 80% quality engineering / 20% service.
5. Utilize FMEA, 8D, and Root Cause analysis to address product faults and ensure quality support for complaints.
6. Provide technical service support and root cause analysis on a range of sensors, test & measurement equipment, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) related equipment, and ATEX products.
7. Support customers in the Process Industries, including oil and gas, food and beverage, pharma, chemical, petrochemical, marine, and nuclear.
8. Liaise with various engineering departments.
9. Working hours: 07:00 – 16:15 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 – 12:00 Friday.
10. Office-based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
Requirements:
1. Engineering management experience with a root cause analysis background.
2. Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Quality Supervisor / Quality Manager, Lead Engineer, or similar is advantageous.
3. Root cause analysis experience.
4. Engineering qualification – mechanical, electrical, or electronic.
5. Must be commutable to Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
