Make an Impact at RSM UK – Tax
Join our consulting team on a 12-month paid placement as part of your sandwich degree course and gain hands-on experience. A career in tax is more than just becoming a tax adviser; you’ll be part of Team Tax, diving into the intricate world of tax laws, both in the UK and internationally, applying them into real-life solutions for our clients.
You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with clients, helping them save money, mitigate tax risks, and navigate the complex landscape of reporting requirements. Each client interaction is a chance to make a real impact.
Our business areas within Team Tax include VAT/Indirect Tax, Employer Solutions, Private Client Services, Corporate Tax, Innovation and Creative Sector Reliefs, Transfer Pricing, Capital Allowances, and Tax Investigations.
You’ll make an impact by:
Being part of Team Tax, you’ll collaborate with people right across the business and engage directly with our clients. You’ll enhance your skills, knowledge, and capabilities, benefiting both our clients and your own professional development.
What we are looking for:
To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience will include:
* A minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification; or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level) and a predicted/obtained honours degree.
* A team-oriented mindset, curiosity about business operations, and the interplay between taxation, personal wealth, and financial goals.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Comfort with numbers, an analytical mindset, and an interest in tax legislation.
* Must be willing to travel to client sites and other offices as required.
* Please note, RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
