Production Technician - Night Shift
Location: Roborough, Plymouth PL6 7BP
Overview: Working as part of the manufacturing team, the Production Technician will be responsible for all technical and processing activities associated with the manufacture of PAS components. The role includes operational responsibilities and requires coordination with various departments to ensure smooth production processes.
Responsibilities:
Attend to electro-mechanical faults, diagnosing and repairing in a timely manner to meet production targets.
Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbish offline machinery and ancillaries.
Ensure all manufacturing equipment is set up and produces products according to established Quality Control specifications and standards, maintaining acceptable quality and waste levels.
Adhere to statutory legislation and/or quality system requirements regarding process changes and equipment modification.
Monitor in-process quality, addressing issues as needed to prevent product holds.
Ensure compliance with all Quality Control, Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Operational, Engineering, and Quality Control personnel to promote continuous improvement (SSU, 5S, CIAS, Near Miss, etc.).
Maintain equipment according to schedules/plans or work instructions, minimising downtime and managing repair costs.
Support engineering in the installation and validation of new equipment and technology, ensuring a smooth transfer to production.
Actively participate in team meetings and project teams as required.
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into SAP.
Cover breaks, operate production machinery, assemble products, perform quality checks, and handle pallet release duties.Benefits:

24 days holiday (25 after 5 years)Working Hours: This is a night shift position, 11pm - 11am, 3 days on and 3 days off. An impressive 48% Shift premium is offered on top of a highly competitive salary.
Qualifications:
Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering such as C&G, HND, or a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Good engineering aptitude and a keen eye for creative engineering solutions.
Excellent communication skills, IT literate, process-driven, and methodical.
Organised and self-motivated with safety awareness of electrical, compressed air, and pressurised systems.
