Zest Scientific is recruiting a Tissue Diagnostics Sales Specialist for a leading organisation in the pharmaceutical space. Every year across the globe, more than 14 million people develop cancer, a number that is expected to grow to more than 21 million by the year 2030. Strengthening diagnosis improves chances of survival for the millions of people living with cancer, which means precise, personalised diagnostics are critical as we continue the fight against this deadly disease.
As an innovator of tissue-based diagnostic solutions for patients worldwide, our client provides anatomic pathology labs with a powerful combination of instrumentation, medical value assays, and digitally integrated workflow.
The ideal candidate will have experience in field sales with knowledge of Histology or Immunohistochemistry product portfolio. A commercially driven scientist with research and laboratory skills in Histology or Immunohistochemistry would also be considered. Candidates should be educated with a BSc (Hons) / BA Degree in a Life Science or have related experiences such as a Biomedical Scientist background. They should be skilled in defining customer needs and building strong and effective relationships.
Knowledge of best practices in Cellular Pathology (especially IHC) and cancer pathways is essential. The candidate should be resilient, tenacious, adaptable, and flexible to work in a changing environment. A balance of discipline to follow best practices and creativity to redefine these practices is crucial.
Candidates should understand barriers to the acceptance of new solutions and be able to drive positive sales outcomes. They must be self-motivated, focused, and methodical, with the ability to work independently while readily communicating and sharing knowledge with the team. The candidate should be able to sell with high credibility and turn strategy into actionable implementation.
In this role, you will promote the client's product's value proposition to key clinical, procurement, and finance stakeholders. Taking the lead in the account sales strategy and execution for the product portfolio in your territory, you will work closely with Customer Account Managers, Product Specialists, Managed Laboratory Service Team, and Workflow IT Specialists. You will manage and coordinate the Tissue Diagnostics response within complex pan pathology procurements, utilizing self-discipline and a creative approach to ensure sales methodology is delivered on time and in full.
This will involve engagement with all levels of the key decision-making team, including senior management. You will identify market development and changes in the NHS landscape in your territory (payment, procurement, tendering, and NHS processes) to maximize opportunities and minimize risks.
This is a permanent opportunity and will cover the Midlands.
