Senior Corporate Resilience Manager
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced officer to join Wirral's Community Safety service to be at the forefront of the Council's preparedness and response to emergency planning and resilience.
With key statutory responsibilities, the officer will lead the development and preparation of contingency plans, ensuring staff, elected members and volunteers are trained to mitigate the effects of an emergency affecting the Local Authority. The officer will work closely with Merseyside Local Resilience Forum partners and regionally with agencies from across the Northwest, to plan and prepare co-operatively for disruptive major incidents that may impact Wirral.
About the candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role, ideally in an emergency service, and a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at the appropriate level and Non-Police Personnel Level 2 (NPPV2F) clearance.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a handover with the current post-holder in early May 2025, irrespective of any notice period. The details of this will be agreed with the successful candidate.
