Head Teacher (PKC12400) at Braco Primary School.
Are you an inspirational leader with the skills, confidence and drive to make a positive impact on the lives of our children? This exciting opportunity has arisen in a small, non-denominational rural school situated in the village of Braco, 8 miles south of Crieff and 8 miles north of Dunblane to the South-East of Perth. This vibrant village school has 3 primary classes and a nursery supported by strong links with the local community. Braco Primary Schools aim is to provide a happy, safe, trusting, supportive and welcoming environment where the learning experience is an enjoyable one. The focus is to provide pupils with a stimulating and interesting curriculum which is appropriate to each individual pupil’s needs and abilities.
The Head Teacher will provide vision and direction in order to ensure high standards of education and leadership of learning. We are seeking someone who can lead our school community, develop learning and teaching and ensure that all pupils achieve their full potential.
This post will include a teaching commitment for part of the week but at PKC, we will ensure you have a support network in place. You will be supported by your Quality Improvement Officer, be linked with a peer Head Teacher who will be your Critical Colleague, and have access to a Head Teacher Induction Programme; The Leading Change Programme.

The Head Teachers Education and Training (Scotland) Regulations 2019 require candidates who are appointed to their first permanent Head Teacher post from 1 August 2020 to have attained the Standard for Headship. If you have not gained this qualification, appointment can only be made on a fixed term basis for maximum period of 30 months. Perth & Kinross Council are committed to supporting candidates gain this qualification.
