We are currently looking for a School Support Worker to join a Secondary Alternative Provision based in Darwen on a long-term supply basis.
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Days: Monday to Friday
Location: Darwen
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Contract Type: Long-term supply
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural and emotional needs
* Work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted learning strategies
* Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
* Confidently manage challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies and a positive, consistent approach
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have strong behaviour management skills
* Be experienced in working within alternative provision or with students with SEMH needs
* Be patient, empathetic and adaptable to individual needs
* Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
