As Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial aspects of the DIO projects that manifest from the CCS framework from beginning to end. You will oversee the administering of the contracts and support and mentor the QS’s working on the DIO projects, being a key member of the framework team.
Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to our Every Step Safely Health, Safety and Wellbeing inductions, policies, and procedures.
2. Govern the administering of the DIO contracts, supporting or leading in pre-defined areas.
3. Support the framework team in managing against the framework principles, ensuring compliance on commercial aspects.
4. Act as a key relationship manager to the CCS Framework team and the DIO client team, working closely with the client solutions team to build and maintain relationships and reputation.
5. Lead on contract negotiations.
6. Take the lead on KPI obtaining and reporting.
7. Empower and mentor project teams to deliver strong risk and commercial management of the supply chain and the client.
8. Assess and effectively manage risk on the projects.
9. Lead on the effective resolution of contractual and commercial disputes.
10. Deliver timely and accurate Cashflow, Cost to Complete, Risk, and CVR reporting.
11. Attend monthly project reviews.
12. Work closely with the Head of Commercial to embed and expand standard procedures and standards.
13. Lead on project lessons learnt from a commercial perspective.
14. Attend and support project gateway adjudications.
15. Collaborate with all areas of the business, as required, to ensure project/sector success.
16. Support on DIO tender opportunities as required.
17. Assist on other DIO/business opportunities from a commercial, lessons learnt, risk, and continuous improvement perspective.
18. Educate the business and its supply chain on DIO specifics, ensuring that this education mitigates potential foreseen risks.
19. Understand the product, specifications, and details of the DIO nuances.
Qualifications (Desirable):
1. 3 years in a similar role or demonstration of achievement of key duties and responsibilities.
2. RICS desirable.
3. Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or similar.
Experience (Essential):
1. Experience in modern methods of construction (MMC).
2. Experience in working with the DIO.
3. Experience in working with the CCS framework.
4. Experience in working as a commercial manager/director.
5. Experience in taking the lead on main contract administration.
