Job Purpose:
The Head of Cybersecurity Courses plays a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of academic programs within the Cyber Space Academy. This position serves as a senior academic leader and involves coordinating various aspects of academic affairs, assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures, and ensuring the alignment of academic activities with institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
Provide visionary leadership to academic departments, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
Collaborate with department heads and faculty to develop and implement academic policies and procedures.
Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality academic programs.
Curriculum Development and Evaluation:
Oversee the development and revision of academic programs and curricula.
Lead efforts to assess and enhance program effectiveness, ensuring alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and program innovation.
Faculty Development and Evaluation:
Support faculty recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.
Facilitate professional development opportunities for faculty.
Conduct regular evaluations of faculty performance and contribute to tenure and promotion decisions.
Student Success and Support:
Collaborate with student services to enhance support services for students.
Address academic concerns and implement strategies to improve student success and retention.
Oversee the development and maintenance of academic advising programs.
Address academic concerns and support student success initiatives.
Accreditation and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and educational regulations.
Lead accreditation processes and prepare reports for accrediting bodies.
Stay informed about changes in accreditation requirements and implement necessary adjustments.
Policy Implementation:
Assist in the development and implementation of academic policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.
Communicate policy changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Curriculum Support:
Coordinate curriculum development and updates in collaboration with faculty.
Facilitate the approval process for new courses and program modifications.
Maintain accurate records of curriculum changes.
Faculty Support:
Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of faculty members.
Coordinate faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development activities.
Facilitate communication between faculty and academic leadership.
Administrative Coordination:
Coordinate scheduling of classes and academic events.
Assist in the preparation and dissemination of academic calendars.
Support administrative processes related to academic affairs.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or terminal degree in a relevant field.
Proven experience in academic leadership and administration.
Familiarity with academic policies, procedures, and curriculum development.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
Knowledge of current trends and issues in higher education.
