Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility at the Ashby site. You will play a pivotal role as a technical expert responsible for the planning, management and supervision of the manufacturing processes, to ensure that processes are completed on time and within budget. In this role, you will also work collaboratively with other departments involved in the production process.
What will you be doing?
As a Production Manager, you will manage the day to day manufacturing function, lead and supervise a team of supervisors, team leaders, blenders and operatives, providing ongoing training and development to the supervisors to improve skills and ensure safe and efficient operation.
You will drive our continued efforts for a world class Health and Safety culture, mentoring and supporting the team with all roles and responsibilities.
You will also:
* Attend management meetings to champion Production Function (Health and Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement).
* Generate, analyse and present performance data and KPI metrics;
* Lead and facilitate 5S and Lean teams and activities;
* Deal with any people management matters in consultation with HR Manager;
* Provide support during annual stock take.
Who are You?
Ideally, you will have:
* Relevant advanced qualification in manufacturing or operations or similar function;
* Proven previous production management experience;
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment;
* Excellent understanding of health & safety;
* Demonstrated being a team player, with strong leadership skills;
* Excellent people management skills and techniques in motivation, development and communication;
* Strong IT skills.
