Be part of the FA Event Delivery Team
This exciting role within our FA Events team will lead and support the delivery of FA football matches as required, to deliver The FA's programme of fixtures.
The role covers the delivery of football matches at Wembley Stadium and at stadiums on the road, in addition to leading and supporting the team's wider event delivery as required. The FA's event portfolio includes England Men's and Women's Senior Teams and domestic cup competition finals such as the Emirates FA Cup and Adobe Women's FA Cup.
Please note that it's preferable for candidates to have previous experience of working in football operations and match organisation, with prior experience of working with UEFA/FIFA also desirable.
What will you be doing?
1. To develop and maintain excellent personal relationships with all external stakeholders including competing teams, UEFA/FIFA Officials, Match Officials, on-site Security, Local Authority and event contractors.
2. Serving as the main contact for competing teams and match delegates appointed by UEFA, where applicable. Assisting them by providing key information and troubleshooting issues related to match organisation.
3. Organise planning meetings with relevant FA and Wembley departments, competing clubs and other personnel as necessary to ensure that all aspects of match organisation are covered in preparation for match days.
4. Lead briefings and chair meetings across relevant event stakeholders, including event planning meetings, MD-1 event pre-briefs and match day briefings/meetings as required.
5. Work collaboratively with Broadcast, Marketing, Commercial, Competitions, and Communications Departments to deliver events, working together to mitigate known risks and deliver required protocols.
6. Support the development of sports presentation plans and wider fan engagement ideas for delivery at events alongside the teams Sports Presentation agencies.
7. Provide administrative support to the wider team as and when required in support of the events being delivered.
8. Responsibility for recruiting and/ or mentoring event support staff, including UCFB Event Assistants and volunteers.
9. Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
10. As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.
Examples of Key Accountabilities:
11. Lead, plan and prioritise activities connected to the organisation of FA football matches, working with competing Teams, Match Officials, UEFA, Broadcasters and key FA departments, to implement actions and resolve issues.
12. Keep up to date with new match protocols and policy set by FIFA, UEFA, and FA Competitions so that FA Events are delivered in compliance with the latest Competition Regulations.
13. Working with competing teams and broadcast, collating and managing the Countdown To Kick-Off to ensure all pre-match protocols are delivered, and the match kicks off on time.
14. Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist with event delivery and match organisational operations.

24. Relevant degree or similar qualification advantageous.
25. Experience working with contractors using special effects and gaining relevant approvals.

Our Organisation
The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
