Role Summary
My client is looking to recruit a Rail Operative who is apprenticed trained or time served.
The successful applicants will receive a full training and induction programme at our workshop at Litchurch Lane. Main responsibilities will include
* Responsible for all production tasks as depicted (Labourer, Painter, Shot Blaster, Fitter) and assist in other tasks where required.
* To maintain good housekeeping and communicate clearly with colleagues.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved quality procedures, policies and standards.
* Work in accordance with safety procedures, policies and systems including when using PPE and equipment.
* Be responsible for ensuring all role specific documentation is completed and signed off.
* Operate Equipment as directed and in accordance with procedures.
Key Duties:
* To work on a wide variety of safety critical and rolling stock components such as - Bogies, Brake Frames, Gangways, Fuel Tanks
* To be capable of working to detailed high quality fabrication procedures and drawings
* Ability to problem solve
* This role requires the successful applicant to work offsite when required and have a flexible approach with regards to the needs of the company

* Shotblast
* Paint Spraying
* Full driving license
* Good concentration levels
* Good attention to detail
* Excellent practical skills
* Ability to follow written instructions and keep records
* A safety-conscious approach to work, the ability to work alone and as part of a team
* Good hand-to-eye coordination
