An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, adaptable and well-motivated Senior Team Administrator to provide a competent and efficient administrative service to our Community Mental Health Service Manager and Operational Leads.
This role is a full-time position, working 37.5hrs per week Monday - Friday 9am-5pm and you will be based at Banham House, Bodmin Hospital site.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Community Mental Health Service Manager and Operational Leads. This post is primarily focused on working with Community Mental Health Services and supporting, at times, teams within the wider Mental Health Service.
The successful candidate will be well-organised and able to prioritise tasks. They will be proactive in solving problems and queries and see these through to completion. The post holder will need to be calm and patient, with excellent telephone manner, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to deal with sometimes complex and difficult issues over the phone.
This role will be challenging and varied, but ultimately rewarding, providing an opportunity for the right person to become a key member of the team. A high degree of flexibility is required to meet the day-to-day challenges of the service whilst respecting the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of each individual patient.
The post holder should demonstrate a caring and sensitive approach to their work along with a good sense of humour.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience
1. GCSEs or equivalent (A-C) including Maths and English
2. NVQ 3 in business admin or equivalent qualification or experience
3. Administrative Experience of working in a complex office environment
4. Previous NHS or Local Authority experience
5. Record Keeping
Skills and Aptitude
1. Good communication / interpersonal skills
2. Understanding of confidentiality
3. Ability to manage and prioritise workload
4. Good organisational and office skills e.g., telephone
