This international law firm is the legal destination of choice for many of the worlds finance houses. They now are looking to hire a Revenue Specialist, the role will work alongside the Client Revenue Lead for a specific Practice Area(s) and coordinate all aspects of the Revenue function for those assigned Partners within the London offices in a timely, efficient, accurate and professional manner. Responsibilities To attend regular meetings with Partners to discuss their Work in Progress and Accounts Receivable, following the escalation process where appropriate. To promptly follow-up with Partners and Lawyers on all pending items, such as proformas, time and disbursement transfers, credit notes, write offs, and general queries. To regularly review WIP & AR ledgers, noting items that need attention or follow up ahead of time & diarising future follow ups for yourself and the Revenue Lead. Assist in the resolution of aged WIP and AR. To coordinate write-offs on uncollectable debts and WIP balances in line with the firms approval levels. To attend regular meetings with the Revenue Manager to provide updates on the revenue position of all assigned Partners / practice groups. Assist in updating and maintaining our note system (Target Cash) promptly and accurately in relation to WIP and AR statuses. Assist the Revenue Lead to provide accurate proforma / fee updates / draft bills as requested and to make any subsequent necessary edits as requested by lawyers & finalise bills. To ensure that all billing information held within the system is accurate and kept up to date at all times including; tax codes, addresses, payable by and 3rd Party details, rate agreements and EU VAT numbers, where appropriate. To issue credit notes when requested and ensure these adhere to VAT regulations. To work with the e-billing team, ensuring smooth submission and monitor bills via the various e-billing systems, editing task/activity codes to comply with clients OCG’s and reporting on outstanding invoices. To update and monitor relevant matter data to ensure smooth e-billing submission, tax and budget tool reporting. To maintain rate agreements and any other agreed discounts within the Finance system at both matter and client level. To process both single and joint invoices within the Finance system and apply the relevant set ups to do so. To review client account balances on a regular basis and ensure these are dealt with promptly and in line with SRA and firm guidelines. To test and report on requested changes to bill templates and other ad hoc projects. Assist in the collection of debt (A/R) for assigned Partners / practice groups by way of direct contact with Partner, attorneys or client. To undertake analysis of debtors to highlight payment patterns and potential areas of concern to the Revenue Manager. To deal with queries relating to allocation of receipts to client bills. Candidate Profile The role requires 3 plus years of experience of working within the Revenue space, ideally with experience of processing invoices in the 3E Finance system within a Law Firm. Strong technical knowledge of the relevant VAT, SRA & EU rules are essential along with a positive 'can-do’ attitude and attention to detail.
