This role offers the perfect opportunity for the right candidate to shape and enhance the student journey from application to enrolment. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow marketing professionals, as well as Digital and Creative Teams, to ensure our personalised communications and content truly connects with our target audience, driving conversion every step of the way.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will play an active role in leading projects within the Marketing and Student Recruitment Directorate and working with key stakeholders across the University to meet the strategic recruitment targets.

Job Title: Marketing Conversion Officer

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to deliver compelling conversion activity for the University’s applicants throughout the recruitment cycle, ensuring professional standards are maintained at all times. The core of the role involves working with multiple stakeholders and communicate with both home and international applicants at undergraduate and postgraduate level, to improve conversion and enrolment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Of The Role
* To operationally manage delivery of a University level annual conversion plan, working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to deliver University wide conversion projects to achieve recruitment targets at both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) level.
* To operationally manage conversion for applicants from accept to enrolment by liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure all student journey communications (timetables, joining instructions, enrolment instructions and general marketing messages) are delivered on schedule and are brand compliant.
* To support delivery of the University’s Clearing operation, including recruitment and conversion activity, operationally managing clearing applicant communications from apply to enrolment.
* To become an expert user of the CRM system ensuring thorough data capture and analysis.
* To create and implement an effective applicants communications plan, managing the collation and sending of promotional e-communications, using the CRM system and databases for subscriber information, evaluating and analysing results, ensuring that communications are delivered on time, compliant, and meet OR/CTR targets.
* Work with the Events team to support a series of Applicant Visit Days, using the CRM system to send invites, manage bookings and aid conversion of attendance.
* To provide regular reports on activity and return on investment, evaluating the effectiveness of conversion activities against set KPIs.
* Work with the different teams across the University to help create and curate content, ensuring the University’s online content reflects the requirements of the target audience.
* Ensure consistency of the Buckinghamshire New University brand, following the University’s Style Guide and Brand Guidelines.
* Comply with relevant legislative and other requirements (e.g., the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; Health and Safety; UKVI; and Equality and Diversity) in all working practices.
* Such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required.
