Join our Finance Department as a Finance Apprentice and gain valuable experience while working towards a Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician qualification About the Role As a Finance Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the CCDC’s finance team. You will assist with financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure financial compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, gain hands-on experience, and receive industry-recognised training. What You’ll Be Doing Maintaining and reconciling the accounting system Processing purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims Managing accounts payable and reconciling credit card expenses Handling internal and external finance queries Monitoring bank accounts and authorising online payments Assisting with financial reporting, audits, and year-end accounts Booking travel arrangements as required Supporting finance projects and providing team cover What We’re Looking For Skills & Knowledge: Strong mathematical ability with great attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Personal Qualities: Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn A team player who collaborates effectively Enthusiastic and adaptable to new challenges Qualifications: Essential: Minimum GCSEs (including Maths and English) Desirable: A-levels or equivalent in business, economics, or related subjects What You’ll Get Training & Development On-the-job training to develop key finance skills One day per week at college to complete your Level 4 Apprenticeship Benefits Competitive salary Supportive team environment Career growth opportunities For further details, please see the full Job Description.
