Deputy Headteacher (Pastoral Care)
Leadership Scale Pt 18-22
Full-time
Start date: September 2025
The promotion of a current Deputy Headteacher to be the school’s new Headteacher from September 2025 creates an exciting opportunity on our Leadership Team. They will share our ethos, and also our determination that even an Outstanding school is on a never-ending journey of improvement.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the leadership and management of pastoral care within a large secondary school. This role will include responsibilities relating to promoting student welfare, and behaviour management, to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for students, and to promote positive behaviour amongst students and staff, creating an environment and ethos in which all members of the school community can thrive.
Our OFSTED grading has recently been confirmed as Outstanding (November 2023) and the inspection team have written that:
‘Staff say that they are very well supported. Staff feel valued. They have high praise for how leaders look after the staff’s well-being and their workload.’
‘A school of exceptional quality.’
‘Pupils meet leaders’ exceptionally high expectations for their work, personal development and behaviour.’
‘A highly ambitious curriculum is in place for all pupils. A broad and rich curriculum prepares pupils exceptionally well.’
