Unqualified Cover Teacher\n\nLocation: Cardiff\n\nPay: £(Apply online only) per day\n\nHours: 6.5hrs per day\n\nFull time/Part time/Flexible\n\nAre you seeking for a role in education and looking to make an impact?\n\nTeaching Personnel are recruiting educators who are passionate about education and working with children in Secondary schools in Cardiff to support pupils aged 11-18.\n\nAs a cover teacher, you will be responsible for covering short-term teacher absences and delivering pre-planned lessons across different subjects, ensuring continuity of education.\n\nThis role is ideal for individuals with experience in education or those considering a future career in teaching. A fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who require additional support in their educational journey!\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nSupervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-prepared work, maintain good behaviour, and continue their learning in a positive environment.\nDeliver pre-planned lessons, ensuring students follow instructions and complete their work.\nProvide support to students with additional needs as required, including helping them to stay engaged with their learning.\nManage student behaviour in line with school policies, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.\nEnsure the classroom is well-organised and tidy, promoting a safe and structured environment.\nReport back to the school staff or department on any incidents or challenges faced during the lesson.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\nStrong classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain order and focus among students.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with students and staff.\nOrganised, proactive, and capable of working independently.\nAbility to adapt to different school environments and work with students from diverse backgrounds.\nA positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people in their learning.\nA level of flexibility to work across a range of schools and subjects.\nAn understanding of child safeguarding and the importance of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for students.\nSuccessful applicants will have:\n\nCommitment to completing all required training courses promptly\nEnhanced DBS check on the update service (guidance will be given)\nRegistered with the EWC (guidance will be given)\nProvide 2 references\nAble to travel to the Cardiff area\nTo apply for a position please apply with your CV!\n\nAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
