We are the industry leader in double-deck trailer maintenance and our Glasgow Workshop provides specialised maintenance and repair services and work with manufacturers for approved accreditation and certification.
We're looking for a Workshop Controller to join our team. This role is all about keeping the workshop running smoothly, making sure work is completed on time, and ensuring customers get the best service. You'll manage Technicians, organise jobs, and help maintain high standards across the workshop.
The Role
* Allocate work to Technicians and ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
* Keep track of all workshop jobs and update customers and the service team.
* Hold daily meetings with the team to check progress and resolve any delays.
* Ensure job cards are completed correctly and compliance checks are done (R2C & Brake tests).
* Liaise with parts department for estimates on parts costs. Updating the workshop/job board when parts arrive.
* Reviewing processes and drive improvements & efficiency.
* Make sure Health & Safety rules are followed, keeping the workshop safe and tidy.
* Lead and support the team, helping them perform at their best.
What you'll bring
* Experience: Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Workshop Foreman, Senior Technician, or Service Manager.
* Technical Knowledge: A good understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Customer Focus: Friendly and professional approach to customer service.
* Organisation Skills: Able to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines.
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance (preferred but not essential).
