Job Title: Care Assistant Location: Forest, Melksham (SN12) Job Overview: As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, and companionship. Your role is essential in promoting the dignity, independence, and overall quality of life of those in your care. Key Responsibilities: Personal Care: Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while ensuring dignity and privacy. Mobility Support: Help residents with movement and exercise, including transferring them between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations as needed. Medication Assistance: Support with medication administration under supervision and in accordance with the care plan. Meal Preparation: Assist in preparing, serving, and feeding meals and snacks, considering any dietary needs or restrictions. Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement in activities. Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping duties related to the residents personal space, such as tidying up, changing bed linens, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily activities, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions. Communication: Work closely with other care staff, nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver a consistent standard of care. Report any concerns or changes in residents health to the appropriate supervisor. Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring the well-being of residents at all times. Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in a care setting is preferred. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Education: A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care is an advantage. Other Requirements: A commitment to ongoing training and development. Willingness to undergo a background check and provide references. Mandatory Trainings: Mandatory Trainings should be there.
