Purchasing Account Manager
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join an established Purchasing Team based in Carnforth. The company is experiencing rapid growth and needs to add to the purchasing team to facilitate the next stage of its expansion plans.
1. Salary £27, plus generous Monthly Company Bonus Scheme, following successful completion of probationary period.
2. Holidays: 20 days per year plus 8 bank holidays. Option to join holiday buy back scheme for up to 5 days.
3. Working hours 7.30am to 4.00pm Mon to Fri.

Job Description:
6. Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs, running and compiling daily stock reports.
7. Co-ordinate and effectively manage enquiries and quotations with suppliers, negotiate prices and progress with recommendations and proposals.
8. Processing of orders and communications with suppliers regarding product and quantity requirements.
9. Schedule orders in a timely manner that will meet production to ensure continuity of required stock levels.
10. Direct and monitor the timely management of special and direct delivery purchase orders, ensuring all orders are processed and reported back to sales team and customers as required.
11. Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders. Communicate any changes or updates to PO's and inventory to the sales team.
12. Track orders to ensure timely delivery.
13. Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products are collected or are delivered in good condition and a timely manner.
14. Assist with tracking and customs clearance procedures for overseas supplier orders.
15. Follow procedures and policies in analysing situations or data to determine appropriate action.
16. Booking in deliveries and goods.
17. Notifying relevant channels of any discrepancies with supplier goods.
18. Maintenance of the supplier information document.
19. Reviewing supplier prices on a regular basis.
20. Assist Operations Manager and Purchasing Supervisor in other duties as required .

21. Previous experience within a purchasing role.
22. Good negotiating skills.
23. Strong and effective communication including verbal and nonverbal.
24. Exceptional organisation skills with an attention to detail.
25. Ability to work under pressure, manage workloads and resolve conflicts effectively.
26. Flexibility to manage and adapt to change.
27. Positive attitude in challenging situations.
28. Problem-solving skills to find solutions and make decisions.
29. Excellent IT skills particularly in Microsoft Office.
