Job overview
The post holder will be based within the Rehabilitation Unit at St Mary's Hospital and will include both in- and out-patient work across maternity and gynaecology, supporting women from a diverse background in the prevention and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction problems such as pelvic pain, incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse following delivery of their child or after gynaecological surgery.
Applicants are required to have previous experience of working within Allied Health Professional or Maternity services in the NHS. This post offers excellent facilities and support for continued professional development and the successful applicant can be assured of supervision, training and development within a supportive team.
A flexible attitude, excellent interpersonal and team working skills are essential, as is excellent organisational and IT skills. The post holder will be expected to support weekend working as part of the role.
Main duties of the job
1. To support the Pelvic Health Rehabilitation Team in the delivery of care to women who are pregnant, postnatal or undergoing gynaecology surgery in both in-patient and out-patient settings.
2. To provide autonomous assessments and interventions, for own designated caseload of patients, who have routine clinical needs that follow agreed pathways of treatment.
3. To support patients with more complex needs with supervision and direction from qualified therapist.
4. To undertake administrative and stock control duties as requested to support the allied health professional services.

* NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* GCSE English or equivalent
* Therapy experience

* At least 1 year patient related experience in a health or social care service
