About The New Product Development (NPD) - Process Technologist Role
We're looking for someone to come and support all product development activity within our meat manufacturing site. You will support in ensuring the Existing Product Development (EPD) and New Product Development (NPD) end to end processes are completed on time and in full.
You will assist in the management of New Product Development (NPD) from Concept Handover to Launch stages of the NPD Gate Process across multifunctional teams for all products across multiple sales platforms, ensuring the Existing Product Development (EPD) and (NPD) stages are completed from Gate 2 to Gate 5 on time and in full.
The role is mainly based out of Winsford manufacturing site but there may be a need to attend meetings at the Morrisons Head office (Bradford) and visit some of the other sites and suppliers. There may also occasionally be a requirement to work the occasional day over the weekends in peak season.
What are the responsibilities for this role?
1. Support the concept to launch process- focusing on the process after product sign off.
2. Support the NPD Specialist and Manager to deliver the Site Product Development Plan.
3. Support the NPD Specialist with factory trials.
4. Support the NPD Specialist with all process documentation.
5. Support in the making of kitchen samples and ensuring these are of a high standard.
6. Work closely with the operations team to ensure all our meat products are the best in class.
7. Work in collaboration with technical experts within the business safeguarding the quality of proposed ranges for all of Morrisons customers.
8. Working proactively looking for solutions in the factory for new products that could benefit both product, process, quality and cost.
About You
First and foremost you will have a passion for food and an eye for detail. You will have knowledge of the chilled market ideally and experience working within the food development process. You will have great relationship building skills being able to connect and work with many stakeholders across the business with the ability to influence. Enthusiasm and drive to deliver results with commercial judgement is also key.
