The purpose of the role is to develop and implement an effective digital marketing strategy for St John and St Elizabeth’s Hospital (HJE) to generate private revenue through patient acquisition, whilst promoting and safeguarding the hospital’s reputation in line with HJE strategic objectives.
The Marketing team within the Commercial department plays a vital role in promoting the Hospital. It serves as the face of HJE, coordinating and producing all materials representing the Hospital.
It is the Marketing teams role to reach out to prospective patients, consultants, GP’s and Allied Health professionals and community whilst creating an overarching image that represents our beliefs and values and generating profitable leads for the hospital.
Located in leafy St John’s Wood on the Jubilee line, minutes from Central London, our independent private Hospital has just been rated the number one in the country for care in the latest Bupa survey. Uniquely, all profits fund our onsite Hospice, St John’s.
Am I the right person for this Digital Marketing Manager role?
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline (or possess equivalent experience)
2. At least six years working in a digital marketing role.
3. Private Healthcare experience
4. Experience of working within an in-house team.
5. Sound working knowledge of digital and social marketing.
6. Evidence of developing and running transactional websites.
7. An ability to work independently and take decisions – but know when to seek guidance ‐ and deliver to deadlines
8. Demonstrates understanding of and fit with the Hospital values
What are the Responsibilities of this Digital Marketing Manager role?
9. Produce a digital marketing plan to generate private revenue through patient acquisition.
10. Plan and deliver specific integrated (digital and non-digital) marketing campaigns to drive revenue and build our brand.
11. Be responsible for the day-to-day management of both our digital marketing agency and website development agency, ensuring tasks are delivered on time and within budget.
12. In conjunction with our digital marketing agency;
13. Be responsible for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), including on-page, technical and off-page methods to drive high quality website traffic,
14. Plan, implement and manage digital advertising on Google Ads, Facebook and other digital platforms,
15. Manage digital and social analytics platforms to identify and implement improvements to increase conversions, improving our cost per enquiry.
16. Be responsible for the development and implementation of our Social Media and Content Marketing Plan to grow social audiences and increase traffic to website.
17. Create highly engaging, patient-focused digital content, including video, for our website and social media to increase enquiries in line with the social and content marketing plan.
18. Manage the digital marketing spend, monitor and report on a monthly basis on digital performance and return on investment.
