Job Summary
The Logistics Analyst at Vulcain Engineering UK plays a key role in supporting key engineering projects across nuclear and infrastructure at Vulcain. This position is responsible for developing and managing data driven logistics dashboards to provide full visibility of material flow and supplier performance. Working closely with internal project teams, procurement, and external stakeholders, the analyst delivers actionable insights that drive timely and cost-effective decision-making. The role ensures that all materials and components are delivered accurately and on schedule, directly contributing to the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of projects within Vulcain UK.
Responsibilities include:
* Collaborate with the Senior Logistics teams on logistics planning activities.
* Provide insights to the commercial team on supplier and contract performance.
* Monitor logistics operations performance, supporting the Warehouse SME in identifying improvements.
* Collect and analyse data from systems and reporting tools.
* Identify risks to project delivery and provide actionable insights for mitigation.
* Facilitate collaboration across teams, ensuring transparency and alignment with project values.
* Arrange and coordinate meetings, take minutes, and manage office services (scanning, filing, binding, etc.).
* Consolidate logistics data and support KPI reporting for Logistics Operations.
* Secure and validate data inputs for logistics operations, following up with stakeholders as needed.
* Analyse logistics trends and identify areas of risk and opportunity for continuous improvement.
* Prepare and present reports and insights to internal stakeholders.
* Produce logistics reports for key stakeholders on a defined reporting cycle.
* Contribute to governance forums, highlighting logistics risks and issues.
* Conduct impact analysis to assess changes in logistics operations.
* Ensure compliance with project governance, logistics standards, and sensitive information policies.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
* Working towards / or has completed a qualification in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
* Warehouse Management System (WMS)
* Power BI (Business Intelligence Analytics)
* Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
* Storage capacity and inventory management systems
* Exposure to high-paced operational environments within complex industries is preferred (e.g., nuclear, aviation, defence, energy, or engineering).
* Ability to analyse logistics data and provide actionable insights for project delivery.
* Experience in logistics or major project delivery.
* Experience with performance tracking and reporting for logistics operations.
* Understanding of contractual KPIs and supplier performance monitoring.
* Adaptability to changing project requirements and logistics challenges
