We are looking for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to join the imaging department at the Royal Derby Hospital.
The job requires an enthusiastic individual who is willing to get involved and learn new skills. The work is challenging and stimulating and there will be a requirement to do on the job learning for 2 years in partnership with the University of Derby.
Good communication with patients and members of the team in a clear and empathetic manner are essential to join our friendly and dedicated team.
The service provides diagnostic imaging at several sites across the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.
The main element of the job is to produce high quality images of the human body. Our service provides imaging to both elective and acute services. We have a large Emergency Department and Community Diagnostic Centres with a heavy reliance on Imaging, as well as supporting the many out patient and GP services with high quality imaging.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to provide the best patient care. The role will require both practical ability as well as academic learning.
You will join our dynamic radiographic team and there will be opportunities to progress and learn through our apprenticeship scheme.
There are apprenticeship opportunities in the Plain Film/Dexa and MRI speciality areas.
