Company Profile As a Commercial Specialist, you will provide essential support, guidance, and accountability. Embedded within the commercial team, you will work with the Tender Manager to develop effective commercial strategies and value propositions for tender proposals and current contracts, ensuring contractual compliance and strategic alignment. Your role will be pivotal in fostering and maintaining strong client relationships, requiring a deep understanding of Oceaneering's capabilities, products, and services. Duties And Responsibilities Tasks include but are not limited to the following: Responsible for the accuracy and compilation of tender and pre-qualification documents to meet deadlines as required. Coordinate the internal inputs into tenders and obtain appropriate advice to ensure a timely and compliant response (e.g. tax, legal, contracts, compliance, HSE, QA etc., as appropriate). Working in conjunction with the tender manager to develop and implement compelling value proposition and strategic methodologies into the tender document. Review commercial procedures and processes, requirement to update if necessary and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned. Facilitate and prepare content for procedural review meetings on bid strategy, cost, risk, and lessons learned. Prepare quotes and route for approval in line with defined processes. Identify commercial risks, opportunities, mitigation, and continuous improvement plans. Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and forecasting costs. Log commercial enquiries and distribute as necessary. Analyse project data and financial reports to identify trends and recommend improvement based on data-driven information. Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and team members. Working closely with Oceaneering to ensure there is the required commercial cross-sectional support and alignment. Review basic contractual documents (PO's Work Orders, Service Orders) from a contractual and commercial perspective to ensure compliance with company policies and practices. Negotiate anomalies and exceptions within basic contractual documents with clients (e.g. resolve entity issues, applicable contractual terms and conditions, delivery dates, quantity, and pricing issues) Communicate with external and internal clients for the purposes of gathering feedback and associated monitoring and filing. Provide guidance on contractual obligations to ensure work is performed/delivered in accordance with agreed contract terms. Prepare requests for contractual deviations and amendments in line with changing requirements. After tender award, support the preparation of contract handovers to the project team. Participate in tender debriefs and collate data to trend reasons for successes and failures. Provide general assistance to the Commercial Department as required. Responsible for the completeness of department centralised filing systems. Qualifications Required Experience within a commercial environment Experience with tender processes and the preparation of quotes HNC/HND in a business related subject Preferred Previous experience within a similar role or transferrable skills Degree or equivalent qualification Experience of working in the oil and gas sector How To Apply Regular full-time employees who apply will be considered along with external candidates.
