Job summary We are looking for a motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our innovative cardiology service at Leeds Teaching Hospitals on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to develop in-depth cardiovascular knowledge at a specialist tertiary centre, and be a core part of a supportive and experienced team with an emphasis on patient care. Main duties of the job Your role will deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy service to wards including a busy cardiology admissions ward, a complex long stay ward and cardiac surgery. Advanced Clinical Pharmacists are also expected to fulfil core pharmacy commitments as part of the wider team to deliver equitable, excellent care and experience to all patients in the trust, and support training of junior medical and pharmacy colleagues. There are numerous possibilities for development and learning from the cardiology innovative outpatient pharmacy team. These include specialist lipid management clinics, heart failure services, post myocardial infarction and Cardio-Renal-Metabolic clinics. You will further develop high level skills, such as undertaking D&T applications, responding to NICE Therapy Appraisals, reviewing clinical trials, and answering Advice and Guidance queries from primary care.
