We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing and Communities Connector to become part of the Community Investment team based in Scotland. Working alongside the Cumbernauld Housing team, the role is responsible for supporting tenants who may be at most risk of losing their tenancies and offering advice and methods in which this can be avoided. As a Housing and Communities Connector you will link in directly with people in the community and will deliver community activities for all to get involved with. Joining a team of 6, we are looking for someone with experience within homelessness and dealing with the eviction process from the point of view of the tenant. The role of
Housing and Communities Connector will include:
:
Providing support and help to establish networks to enable vulnerable and at risk tenants to understand their responsibilities
:
Supporting residents to develop effective strategies to better manage their responsibilities
:
Working closely with the Housing Management Team to assess and accept referrals and regularly communicate progress on case work
:
Documenting all contact, assessment and support provided to tenants and contribute to the reporting of this work and outcomes in bi:annual and annual meetings
:
Providing wrap around support and co:ordination with Community Development staff that will provide a holistic approach to sustaining tenancies

Communicating with tenant and stakeholder ensuring a good working relationship is maintained
Skills and experiences:
:
Recent experience of undertaking a similar role and providing person:centred support
:
Understanding of social housing and homelessness services
:
Lived experience of homelessness and/or the eviction process from the point of view of a tenant
:
Experience of delivering Trauma:informed services
:
Working knowledge of safeguarding adults and children
:
Ability to implement excellent interpersonal and customer care skills, particularly with individuals who are resistant and/or have challenging households
