About the Job
The technical process operator will set up, manage, and troubleshoot the line, ensuring it runs accurately and efficiently while meeting the expected daily output targets.
You are responsible for supervising the line's performance, detecting and identifying errors, and responding to system alarms. You will also be required to implement changes to the automated systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Other tasks and responsibilities for the role include:
1. Work in a safety-conscious manner, with respect for colleagues, the equipment and the product.
2. Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, tool changes, etc.) to start a production cycle.
3. Load the components into the assembly line.
4. Control and adjust machine settings if the need emerges.
5. Perform mid-line process step – oven loading and management of oven cycles impact the line's continued running.
6. Feed seals from the oven process into the packaging line.
7. Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
8. Test operation of machines periodically
9. Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
10. Perform Total preventative maintenance (TPM) tasks on the cell.
11. Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
12. Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
13. Maintain activity logs
14. Monitor the production Overall equipment efficiency (OEE) in terms of Performance, Availability and Quality of the entire production cell (2 lines and ovens).
15. Work with colleagues on opposite shifts to maintain a smooth and efficient handover.
The ideal candidate
16. Automotive/Aerospace/GMP experience desirable
17. Experience in running and maintaining an automated line is helpful.
18. Previous experience of using OEE is desirable.
19. Ability to communicate with appropriate personnel
20. Ability to learn new skills
21. Motivated and able to work on own initiative
22. Attention to detail
23. Must be able to problem tackle and find effective solutions promptly
To apply for this role, you must have proof of right to work in the UK and be able to work onsite in Bridgwater. Based on site in Bridgwater. Limited travel may be required to attend training and other Trelleborg sites. Occasional travel to equipment supplier.
