We are looking for a Fragrance Technical Innovation Specialist with a passion for delivering extraordinary experiences for the consumers we serve. JOB PURPOSE You will work in the G lobal Fragrance Technical Innovation Programme for Unilever Home Care to help ensure that we have a pipeline of Fragrance technologies to deliver extraordinary Clean Future fragrance experiences for our brands and consumers. The successful candidate will report to the R&D Fragrance Techn ical Innovation Leader within the Home Care Fragrance team. This role will be both office and laboratory based. RESPONSIBILITIES You will be responsible for leading the experimental programme to understand and benchmark fragrance technologies to enable decisions and priorities to be made to maximise opportunities for these technologies. You will be responsible for applying, building on those already existing, or creating new test methods for Fragrance Technologies in order to demonstrate their applicability to Home Care formats. This work will span modelling, instrumental, and sensory techniques. You will be responsible for leading the competitor and patent landscaping and providing recommendations to the Home Care Fragrance Team and Innovation partners based on insights gained from this work. You will deputise for the Home Care R&D Fragrance Technology Leader at internal and external meetings where needed. You will develop internal and external partnerships and networks to successfully deliver your work. ALL ABOUT YOU We are looking for an exceptional individual with the right attitude, mindset, and competencies to support the Fragrance Technical Innovation Programme within the Home Care Fragrance Design team. Excellent experimental skills, you will have a proven track record of working in a laboratory with the ability to design and execute complex experimental programmes. You will have knowledge of instrumental techniques and the ability to interpret results, and ideally experience of working with sensory consumer data. Technology development skills, you will be able to demonstrate experience of connecting data with technical possibilities to help deliver fragrance technologies for innovations of the future. Innovation project skills, you will have a clear understanding of project processes and demonstrable stakeholder management skills Excellent collaboration and communication skills, partnering with technical partners, fragrance evaluators, perfumers, multifunctional colleagues, and external partners to help deliver fragrance technologies that step-change impact for the consumer. Passion for delivering extraordinary consumer experiences with a keen interest in learning more about olfactive science. Digital 'mindset' is essential, your way of working will ensure that data and technical innovation insights are captured and maximized across the fragrance design programme.
