We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Construction South division in a full-time permanent capacity. Here at Willmott Dixon we deliver projects across multiple sectors, including Education, Leisure, Health, Blue Light, Residential and Commercial. This will be a hybrid role with a mix of office-based and remote working. It's an exciting time to join our business, which has a very healthy current workbook, with a strong pipeline portfolio for the next 2 to 3 years+.
As the successful Senior Estimator, you will calculate the build cost for our customers, ensuring we deliver the right net cost, on time, and to the highest quality for cost accuracy. You will collaborate with the wider preconstruction team and supply chain partners to ensure that we provide an accurate cost in line with the customer’s requirements, project scope and current legislation. Ensuring the service and standards we provide place customer value at the forefront of delivering a perfect product.
Essential criteria
* Strong numeracy skills and mathematical ability
* Prior experience with various construction methods, forms of contract, tendering processes
* Proven experience in controlling costs, timing and quality in line with targets
* Solid experience in reading and accurately interpreting drawings and technical specifications
* Strong end to end tendering in either single or two stage
* Conquest or similar used for tendering
* Cost planning experience
* Measurement – Cost X or Bluebeam
* Strong negotiation skills with supply chain and customer/clients
* MS Excel
* HND or Degree
Desirable Criteria
* Formal degree in Surveying or Construction Management
