Role: Creative Teaching Assistant
Location: Walsall
Protocol Education is looking for teaching assistants from creative backgrounds such as acting, drama, and music to work in our primary schools in Walsall.
As a teaching assistant, you will work both one-to-one and within a class, supporting both your peers and students in a positive and engaging environment. Successful candidates will encourage students’ development, engage through sensory play and interaction, understand social cues and skills, and teach independent living to students with diagnoses of special needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties, severe learning disabilities, and physical disabilities.
These schools are looking for teaching assistants who can apply their creative skills within early years and primary settings while maintaining an engaging and fulfilling learning experience.
Main Duties:
* Engaging students through interactive and creative activities
* Helping with sensory integration within the classroom
* Working with the teacher to assess pupils' levels and abilities
* Ensuring the school's ethos and policies are being implemented
* Liaising with parents and carers
