About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with a range of learning needs. Working closely with teachers and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), you will help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include: Providing one-to-one or small group support for students with special educational needs or learning challenges. Supporting classroom activities to ensure all students can access the curriculum. Assisting with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering student's confidence and independence. Collaborating with teachers and other staff to monitor and assess student progress. About You We are looking for someone who: Is patient, empathetic, and has a genuine interest in supporting young people. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Works well as part of a team but can also use initiative. Is organised and adaptable in a fast-paced school environment.Desirable qualifications and experience: Previous experience working with children or young people, especially in an educational setting. Knowledge of SEN strategies or relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate. A good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths).
