Paediatric Lead Nurse - Patient Safety and Quality

This is an exciting opportunity to join our paediatric team as Lead Nurse for Patient Safety and Quality. You will work with the paediatric teams to support the development and dissemination of the Patient Safety and Risk strategy within the directorates.
Main Duties of the Job
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the development and dissemination of the Patient Safety and Risk strategy within the directorates, fostering a culture that prioritizes clinical quality and risk management.
2. Enabling all staff to actively participate in identifying, actioning, and evaluating all patient safety and risk issues.
3. Leading and supporting the communication and management of issues through Datix in line with policy.
4. Supporting investigation leads in the investigation of serious incidents.
5. Analyzing trends to ensure actions are implemented to reduce the risk of recurrence.
6. Writing timely reports that clearly identify issues, lessons learned, and changes to practice.
7. Triangulating all patient safety data to ensure divisional focus is appropriate to risk and protects patient safety.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient, and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford, and St Margaret's Hospital in Epping.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience in a relevant field.
* Experience working in an environment with conflicting pressures and changing workloads.
* Experience of working within a team and developing good working relationships with internal and external staff at all levels.

Salary
£46,148 to £52,809 per annum plus a 5% higher cost area supplement.
