This employer is ahospitality group headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand with hotels in Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom. This is a proactive, hands-on Regional Sales Manager position to help build a base of corporate transient business for their hotels in the UK. This is a collection of mid-market hotels in key towns and cities across the UK.
About the role
* The Regional Sales Manager will focus on driving sales from the local corporate market into the groups 6 hotels in the south of England and Wales.
* The role also cross-sells the groups other hotels around the UK when possible.
* 25% Account Management / 75% new business activity.
* Regular face-to-face appointments per week to source new business.
* Achieve account targets by identifying opportunities to grow business and enhance profitability from existing key accounts.
* Hold site visits and client entertainment as required.
* Produce sales activity reports as required.
* Development of lapsed, and new pipeline accounts across all B2B segments.
What we are looking for
* Proactive hotel sales experience is essential.
* Corporate sales experience is highly desirable.
* Current experience within the south UK region is desirable.
* A proven track record of successful business development and account management is essential.
* A self-motivated, driven, commercially aware and results-orientated and proactive attitude is required.
* Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
* A full and clean driving licence and own car are required.
Package short description:
Up to £35,000 per annum plus 20% bonus and benefits.
