Role
As a Junior Designer, you will play a key role in bringing creative concepts to life.
Working closely with and reporting to the Head of Creative, you will contribute to a wide range of projects encompassing print, digital, social media, branding, and campaigns.
This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll be working both independently and as part of a team, so it’s important you’re a good communicator and problem solver, who’s up for taking on responsibility.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the team to develop engaging designs for a variety of outputs.
2. Respond to briefs set by the Account Management team.
3. Take responsibility for set projects under the direction of the Head of Creative.
4. Assist in the creation of branding projects, including creating brand packs, logos, and visual identities.
5. Support the development of creative campaigns for destinations, including promotional materials and digital assets.
6. Participate in photoshoots, providing on-set support and ensuring creative consistency.
7. Produce animations for campaigns and digital platforms (not essential).
8. Maintain brand consistency across all design projects.
9. Stay updated with industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.
10. Respond to day-to-day ad hoc projects for clients.
11. Storyboard for animations, photoshoots, and filming shoots.
12. On-site visits when the design team is needed for photoshoots, research, tenders, or branding projects.
Skills and Qualifications
1. A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or relevant apprenticeships/internships and work experience.
2. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign are essential.
3. Good understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
4. Excellent attention to detail and a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design work.
5. Ability to work collaboratively and take constructive feedback.
6. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. A love and passion for creative & design, which could spread across multiple mediums such as Art, fashion, photography, or video.
8. Ability to work in a close-knit team.
9. Great communication skills, especially when working from home.
10. Proficiency in PowerPoint.
Not Essential
1. 1+ year experience as a designer in a workplace.
2. Experience working with animation/motion graphics.
3. Basic knowledge of web design tools (e.g., Adobe XD) is an advantage.
4. Artworking experience.
