Responsibilities
Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division(Hexagon) is seeking a Solution Consultant.
We are looking for a senior Solution Consultant in CAPEX project execution using HxGN SDx or HxGN Smart Completions solution with business knowledge in industrial CAPEX project activities. As senior Solution Consultant, your primary role consists of providing technical and subject matter expertise for one or more Hexagon technologies (HxGN SDx, SmartPlant Construction and HxGN Smart Completions) in pre-sales engagements. You will work closely with sales teams across the sales segments and Industry Consultants needing their support in establishing the value of the Hexagon solution for achieving customer’s business outcomes through demonstrations, presentations and proposals. You will also be responsible for conducting relevant training of internal sales / presales / marketing teams for the purpose of knowledge sharing.
To support Business Development you will...
* Support building and growing pipeline of opportunities for Digital Project solution for Project Execution processes (further referenced as D-Project solution) for EMIA.
* Together with the Industry Consultant, work with the Sales Development Representatives in training, developing messaging and support lead generation for D-Project Excellence where HxGN SDx Projects, Smart Construction or Smart Completions is part of the package.
* Collaborate with the Industry Consultants in driving the growth of D-Project solutions revenue within the region, working with local sales teams through account plans and opportunities.
* Responsible for the adoption and execution of go-to-market packages where HxGN SDx Projects, Smart Construction or Smart Completions solutions are part of the package.
* Work with marketing and Industry Consultants in building thought leadership pieces in CAPEX Project execution area, with focus on D-Project solution.
* Be able to explain how an Industrial Project digital-twin solution with HxGN SDx project can help achieve the business outcomes expected by prospects or defined by Industry Consultants.
* Be able to explain how methodologies such as Advanced Work Package Planning (AWP) can be executed applying solutions such as Smart Construction and/or Smart Completions.
* Be able to explain the CAPEX life cycle of an asset from engineering phases to the start-up.
* Together with the Industry Consultant, deliver key campaigns, with the support of marketing, in the promotion of HxGN SDX Project, Smart Construction and Smart Completions solutions individually and where integrated with other D-Project solutions in different growth markets.
* Work closely with Industry Consultants in training & establishing the value of the HxGN SDX Project, Smart Construction and Smart Completions solutions in various industries.
* Develop messaging for HxGN SDX Project, Smart Construction and Smart Completions solutions, with focus on key differentiators.
* Provide Subject Matter Expertise and the central point of contact for HxGN SDx Project, Smart Construction and Smart Completions solutions in the region for pre-sales engagements.
* Develop and maintain repeatable demonstration systems and content for HxGN SDx Project, Smart Construction and Smart Completions solutions, or to a specific client’s requirements against sales opportunities.
* Support key customer engagements in delivering Proof of Concepts or Pilots for Digital Project solution against sales opportunities.
* Work with new and/or existing clients to define their requirements, qualifying the fit of HxGN Digital Project solution and defining roadmap together with other members of the opportunity team.
* Contribute to the development of Sales proposals & technical estimates for HxGN Digital Project solution.
* Provide technical content for tenders and RFxs as well as assist with benchmarks.
* Liaise with Product Managers to understand product direction, maintaining an in-depth knowledge of HxGN Digital Project solution and be able to advise the Sales Team and client expectations.
* Liaise with Services teams to provide feedback to the product managers on field and based on customer requirements.
* Participate with the Industry Consultant in the ideation and development of Go-To-Market packages where HxGN SDx Project, Smart Construction and Smart Completions solutions are part of the package.
* Work with Services team in reviewing technical and scoping documents and ensure the smooth transition from sales to implementation services.
* Liaise with HxGN SDx Project, Smart Construction and Smart Completions Solution Consultants in other regions for lessons learned and best practice sharing.
* Attend trade shows, seminars and user conferences and be capable of presenting technical papers, demonstrations and presentations.
Education / Qualifications
Minimum:
* Experience implementing one of Hexagon ALI’s solutions: HxGN SDx Project (/ SPF/SPO), Smart Construction, Smart Completions, on EPC projects.
* Experience in requirements gathering, estimations and solution building.
* Ability to explain and present technical solutions.
* Confident working with Enterprise client IT personnel and managers to determine system architecture and design needs.
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise work accordingly and time management.
* Ability to work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
* Must have the willingness to learn other Hexagon solutions in the Construction (iConstruct, next-gen Smart Construction) and Commissioning (Smart Completions) areas and stay up to date with fast-paced changes.
* Willingness to travel when required in the region.
* Fluent in English and ability to speak one or more other European languages is preferred.
Preferred Experience
* Technical and subject matter expertise in HxGN SDx Project solution for CAPEX Project execution for Industrial Assets:
* Data capture and/or integration with HxGN design tools.
* Knowledge of Construction / Commissioning software solutions.
* Typical experience: At least 5 years’ experience with 2+ years of software solution delivery or software development.
* Excellent understanding of Industrial (EPC) Project Execution business processes e.g. Design Engineering for Procurement, Fabrication or Construction, Construction & Commissioning preparation.
* Proficiency with multiple project delivery models including Agile and waterfall.
* Experience in technical consultancy during customer-facing meetings.
* Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Exposure to Construction & Commissioning execution in Industrial CAPEX projects.
Qualifications
Educational background:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an information technology related field.
* Technical and subject matter expertise in at least one the following categories (higher to lower importance):
* Engineering, Construction or Commissioning in Industrial CAPEX projects.
* Good knowledge about the role of asset lifecycle information management for industrial CAPEX projects.
* Good understanding in application integration technologies.
* Good understanding in Enterprise and Cloud IT infrastructure i.e. Microsoft AZURE.
