Systems V&V Engineer
Our client is a world leader in the development of systems used for Naval vessels. They are looking to hire a V&V Engineer to join their team.
V&V engineers are core to each project. Working within project teams, the V&V function ensures the essential activities are conducted throughout the engineering lifecycle.
This role will involve travel to test houses situated around the UK; this travel varies from project to project, so a degree of flexibility is required.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to gain and maintain UK Eyes Only SC clearance.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Apply best practice across the Systems Engineering lifecycle, from requirements, design, integration, and the V&V stages, supporting the acceptance process.
2. Contribute towards key elements of management plans and processes using approved methods, SQEP, and resources/facilities, along with their maintenance and management.
3. Aid creation and perform Integration, Verification, Validation, and Test activities as per approved plans, processes, and procedures.
4. Maintain alignment, or a tailored approach, of lifecycle activities in accordance with department and industry standards.
5. Support project reviews, including design reviews, risk assessments, and change impact analysis.
Your Experience:
1. Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering/Software/Hardware engineering (SE processes and methodologies such as ISO 15288/ISO 29119/INCOSE).
2. Experienced in System Engineering V&V lifecycle planning, delivering, and reporting.
3. Proven experience of an evidence-based approach for Systems Integration, V&V, and Acceptance.
4. Systems thinking, logical approach, RCA/rectification/regression management.
5. Good communication, stakeholder management, and technical report writing skills.
