As a Security Ambassador, you will be responsible for providing a responsive, effective, and efficient security service. You will work proactively across university sites with key stakeholders to deter and minimise crime and incidents, and their effects on the University community.
The ability to work unsupervised, including planning and prioritising your own workload, and dealing with conflicting demands is essential, as the post involves an element of lone working.
You must have previous experience of working within an environment of regulations and procedures. You will also have experience of using a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
Please note that this job consists of an alternating shift pattern working 5 out of 7, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.
As well as 25 days annual leave and the eight standard UK bank holidays, you also get up to six extra days each year for extended University closure around some UK public/holidays.
For this job, we particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic applicants who are underrepresented in this area/this type of job at Sheffield Hallam.
The role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route, so if you are an international applicant, you will need to ensure you have an appropriate visa to evidence the necessary right to work in the UK.
