Major recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Internal Sales and Contracts Engineer for our prestigious client based in the Huddersfield area.

Job Purpose
To provide accurate quotations and technical reports in relation to the repair of pumps and other mechanical equipment.
To provide technical engineering support within the base at Huddersfield.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Responsible for all customer liaison in relation to the repair/service of pumps and mechanical equipment.
2. To fully understand the customer requirements to propose/present the correct solution.
3. Coordinate with the workshop engineers the inspection to assess and prepare a report & accurate quotation for the customer.
4. Management of the repair to ensure agreed deadlines are met or arrange for the faulty equipment to be reassembled & returned to the customer.
5. Delivery of project within defined timescales and to the customer satisfaction.
6. Responsible for all engineering reports including Risk Assessments and Method Statements for site work.
7. Provision of technical engineering support to Huddersfield base.
8. Coordination of H&S requirements within base including monitoring training records and requirements.
9. When required, attend off-site premises to provide engineering support.
10. Assist the base manager with enquiries and ad hoc jobs as and where needed.
Skills and Experience
1. Communication & Interpersonal skills.
2. Excellent oral and written communication.
3. Able to react to urgent breakdown situations.
4. Mechanical Engineering Experience, with knowledge of rotating equipment an advantage.
5. Knowledge of vibration analysis and mechanical seals an advantage.
6. Knowledge of Micro-meter and Vernier Calliper and Dial Test Indicator.
7. Intermediate Microsoft Excel & Word.
8. Clean and Full driving licence.

Previous centrifugal pump experience is required, and the successful candidate will need to be able to read technical drawings, use DTI's, Inside & Outside Micrometers & calipers. There is the opportunity of overtime but this isn't guaranteed each month.
