We have an exciting opportunity for a Food Production Operative to join their Quality team as Quality Control Technician. The role will be based within the Abattoir and/or the Boning Hall. The role has great progression routes through the Quality department.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Visual carcass inspections and necessary trimming to agreed procedures and schedules.
2. Checking for contamination and advising department supervisors/QA of any issues on the production lines.
3. Raising internal non-conformances when necessary and informing all relevant personnel.
4. Completing daily inspection records.
5. Adhering to current legislation with regards to safe food production.
Skills & personal qualities:
1. Understanding the importance of health, safety, and hygiene.
2. Previous work experience in the meat industry is desirable.
3. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Being methodical and paying attention to detail.
5. Being able to build good working relationships with people.
