Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead/Nexus Curriculum Pathway Lead Permanent, full-time position Start Date: September 2025 It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. Due to internal promotion the Executive Headteacher & Governors seek to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and energetic Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Safeguarding, Attendance and the Nexus curriculum. The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at Linwood School takes the lead on matters relating to safeguarding our children and young people, monitors the safety and wellbeing of our LAC and monitors and acts on student attendance liaising with the Local Authority and other agencies as required. The successful applicant will: - Be responsible for monitoring and managing safeguarding concerns arising within Linwood Campus and manage the safeguarding team. Effectively promote inclusivity and approaches consistent with the school’s regulation and engagement policy. Play a decisive role in the strategic, operational and policy development of the provision through innovative and enterprising leadership. Effectively manage individual and team performance, acting as a role model within the school community. Monitor the progress and attainment of students within the Nexus curriculum pathway and ensure the curriculum is adapted to effectively meet the needs of the students. Adapt leadership style to a range of scenarios in support of the safeguarding team across campuses. The successful candidate will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will have no regular teaching commitment. However, the successful applicant will be expected to provide ad hoc cover for classes in the Nexus curriculum pathway and model exemplar teaching strategies and approaches.
