About Us:
Merlin Power is a leading supplier of electrical power products and systems to the marine, specialist vehicle, and defence industries. With over 35 years of experience, our systems power everything from Formula 1 trucks to frontline battle tanks, surveillance vehicles, and luxury yachts.
Recent expansions to our workshop facilities and staff have enabled us to offer full onsite installation services alongside our established design, supply, and support offerings. This makes Merlin Power a trusted partner for both complex custom projects and efficient modular solutions.
Role Overview:
As a Vehicle Conversion Sales Manager, your primary responsibility is to drive the sales of our installation projects and power systems. You will work on both high-complexity, low-volume custom projects and high-volume, low-complexity modular solutions, ensuring customers receive fully tested, warranted systems tailored to their needs.
Our projects include:
* Low-Volume, High-Complexity Systems: Custom-designed power systems tailored to specific customer briefs, often for specialist vehicles, marine applications, or defence projects. These systems are primarily designed and installed at Merlin HQ, with onsite remote installations available when necessary. When projects involve complete vehicle conversions, you will collaborate with external partners to deliver comprehensive solutions.
* High-Volume, Low-Complexity Modular Solutions: Industry-unique modular power systems that are pre-built and tested by our workshop team. These systems are shipped to customers for final installation, significantly reducing their installation time and mitigating design and testing challenges. This approach provides customers with a fully warranted, streamlined solution.
Responsibilities Include:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers to identify and secure new business opportunities.
* Act as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating pre-sales, delivery, and post-sales activities.
