We’re now looking for someone to join our Engineering Team to contribute to the company’s profitable growth journey. The main purpose of the Lead Engineer is to be responsible for managing engineering projects from inception to handover and lead a team to continuously improve all aspects of plant equipment and systems at our manufacturing site.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will report directly to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring personal and team safety and promoting a ‘Safety First’ culture.
2. Managing project delivery through a team of professional multi-skilled Engineers in line with time, cost, and budgetary constraints.
3. Leading the team to manage small and medium projects.
4. Working closely with Production Unit Managers and alongside the Project Office Team to design and execute 5-year capital investment plans.
5. Supporting the development of the Project Manual and applying the appropriate systems to align with the size of the project.
6. Leading on continuous improvements in conjunction with production requirements.
7. Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulations, and working as part of a team to identify and implement safety improvements, including safety assessments as appropriate (PUWER, ATEX, LOLER etc.).
8. Engaging with and managing contractors.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and proven planning and project management skills, along with significant ATEX experience. We are looking for someone who can lead, motivate and engage not only their team but all stakeholders. Good communication skills with drive and enthusiasm are essential, as is a desire to grow and develop within the company.
