Sherwood Oaks is a purpose-designed 70 bedded Adult Mental Health Inpatient service located on the outskirts of Mansfield.
The hospital has 4 single sex wards and a hospital-based place of safety (Section 136 suite), all providing single person accommodation with en-suites. Sherwood Oaks Hospital provides high quality care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to people over the age of 18 from Nottingham City and County who are experiencing a range of mental health and emotional difficulties.
Main Duties of the Job
We are seeking a proactive, compassionate, caring and recovery-focused HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with excellent communication skills to join our existing dynamic multidisciplinary teams to be involved in holistic assessments and interventions to support the planning and delivery of patient care. The multidisciplinary teams all work in a way that is collaborative, evidence-based, and responsive to people’s needs.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
To effectively plan and implement high quality Occupational Therapy input with Service Users on the acute adult mental health wards at Sherwood Oaks Hospital, Mansfield.
You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and will provide a variety of individual and group occupational therapy interventions to a diverse range of service users, both on the wards, in the therapy area, and when appropriate in patients' homes.
You will liaise with a range of agencies and services across Nottinghamshire.
You will manage a variable clinical caseload, working with people with a diverse range of needs towards an effective discharge from hospital.
Professional and clinical supervision will be provided by an identified Occupational Therapist, and you will link into the wider network in Nottinghamshire, working cooperatively with colleagues to ensure high quality service provision and gain opportunities for support and Continued Professional Development.
