Take a closer look at the role: Job description: We have an opportunity for a Senior Vehicle Performance Engineer to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will lead and undertake a variety of tasks relating to vehicle performance simulation, analysis, model development and simulator operations. What you will be doing: To work closely with the Head of Performance Analysis to define the department strategic direction and plan work requirements around available resources. Undertake performance, simulation and vehicle dynamics projects to drive: Short-term performance. Long-term performance. Simulation and analysis tool development. Engineering support for Design, Aero, Strategy and Race Engineering groups. Simulator operations. Race event support. Tire model development. Data pipeline continuous improvement. Develop and maintain department administration and reporting procedures. Requirements High level motorsport performance or vehicle dynamics experience. Experience of developing and running vehicle and tire simulation models. Strong understanding of physics and math relating to high performance vehicles. Experience of Python or MATLAB / Simulink Ability to drive projects and provide leadership to more junior members of the department. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Open to new ideas and approaches. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors. Communicate effectively with a range of people in other departments across the organization. Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email. Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
